9月12日晚8点，美国科学院院士J. Clark Lagarias应华中农业大学农业微生物学国家重点实验室、农业微生物资源利用重点实验室赵开弘教授的邀请，在国际学术交流中心报告厅作题为“蓝细菌光敏色素的光谱调节及其调控功能”的学术报告。

Lagarias教授在报告中从蓝细菌四吡咯光受体讲到蓝细菌光敏色素的分子进化、结构与功能，光受体光谱响应调节与光合作用适应，展望了蓝细菌光敏色素在生物技术与光遗传学、合成生物与农业技术学领域的发展与高技术前景。参会代表并就上述问题纷纷提出问题，与他进行了探讨和交流。

Dr. Clark Lagarias简介

Dr. Clark Lagarias is a Professor of Biochemistry in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology in the College of Biological Sciences at the University of California, Davis. He was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2001.

His work resulted in over 100 scientific publications, reviews, and books, including Science, PNAS and other authoritative international journals.
